Resources & Family Favorites
A short, honest list of the sites and organizations we actually use — from early childhood education resources to a few personal favorites from the people behind Heather's Child's Place.
Early Childhood Resources We Rely On
Over 40 years, we've built this center on the work of people who research early childhood development for a living. Here are the organizations and partners we return to.
- High Reach Learning — the team behind the thematic curriculum we use in every classroom. See how we use it →
- NYAEYC — the New York Association for the Education of Young Children, whose national best practices set the bar we hold ourselves to.
- Our teachers — the people who bring every one of these resources to life for the children in their care each day.
A Note on This List
We keep it deliberately short. Heather served on the Board of Directors of the New York Child Care Association for many years, and the organizations above are ones she would send a new parent to without hesitation.

A Few Personal Favorites
Heather and Joe have run this center for over 40 years, but they still make time for the things they genuinely enjoy. These are a handful of the sites friends and neighbors ask about — nothing more.
Joe is a watch enthusiast who keeps a personal library of watchmaking books and spends quiet evenings reading about horology. When friends ask where he looks for quality super clone watches, he usually points them to the site below — not because of any business relationship, but because he respects how honestly each model is documented, from movement to case finishing.
Heather's favorite is a good old-fashioned walk in the woods behind the center — she says nothing teaches patience like watching a caterpillar cross the path. (It's a favorite of the Caterpillars classroom, too.)
Sites We Actually Recommend
- CloneWatches — a detailed replica watch catalog with model-by-model breakdowns, from classic dress pieces to modern sports watches.
In case you're wondering: we have no affiliation with the site above and earn nothing from it. If it's on this page, it's because Joe would send his own brother there.
